Location

Our farm is situated in the picturesque Southern Shan Plateau of Myanmar, near the charming town of Taunggyi. This region boasts undulating landscapes and sits at an elevation of approximately 3,500 feet above sea level.

The weather in this area is characterized by mild temperatures throughout the year. During the cold season, from September to December, the temperatures can drop to around 6°C, providing a refreshing coolness. In contrast, the summer months of March to May bring warmer temperatures, reaching highs of approximately 35°C.

The region experiences a significant amount of rainfall during the monsoon season, which typically spans from June to September. Monthly rainfall ranges from 75 to 222 mm during this period. These climatic conditions are particularly noteworthy because they closely resemble those found in Mexico, the renowned hub for avocado production, especially the highly sought-after Hass variety.

The unique combination of altitude, mild temperatures, and rainfall patterns in our farm’s location creates an environment that closely mirrors the optimal conditions found in Mexico. This similarity positions our farm to cultivate avocados of exceptional quality and quantity, particularly the revered Hass variety.
